Where to go, when to arrive, and where your child meets their siblings.
The quick parent rule
Red Line · Door 13
Use the Red Line if your oldest student is in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
Blue Line · Door 5
Use the Blue Line if you have a student in 4th or 5th grade.
Only 6th–10th
If your only student is in 6th through 10th grade, pick up at Blue Line · Door 5.

Walkers
An approved walker form must be on file. Exit through Door 13 and wait in the designated walker area.
Bus riders
All bus riders go to the MPR for bus pick-up.
Late Bird & Free Bird
Students go to the MPR.
Why the MPR
The MPR is the meeting place for K–3 students waiting on an older sibling, for bus riders, and for Late Bird and Free Bird students.
Help the school keep dismissal running smoothly
BASIS Plano thanks families for their partnership as it continues to refine its dismissal procedures.
Please do not arrive before your designated parking lot entry time. If you arrive early you will be directed to return at your designated time window.
The school also asks that families not stop or wait along Preston Meadow. It blocks traffic and stops families whose students are actively dismissing from reaching the line.
BASIS Plano staff work hard every day, often in 100-degree temperatures, to keep dismissal safe and efficient. Thank you for helping them keep traffic moving.

Traffic laws and city regulations
Everyone is busy at arrival and dismissal, but student safety comes before convenience. Three things the school and the City of Plano ask of every family.
Keep intersections clear
While you wait in the arrival queue on Preston Meadow, do not stop across an intersection. Blocking one is both a safety problem and a traffic violation — the Plano Police Department is monitoring the area and may issue citations.
Use the designated crosswalk
Cross at the traffic light at Preston Meadow and Hedgecoxe, and use the marked crossings whenever you cross a roadway or a parking lot traffic area. The improved crossing time and the signage going up are meant to make this the safest route on foot — a marked crossing is where drivers expect people to be.
Do not park on residential streets
Please avoid parking on the neighboring residential streets during arrival and dismissal, so that residents and emergency vehicles can still get through.
