A busy summer and a bright start to the year — check out the fun!

STEAM Speaker Series: Taylor Monroe

October 7, 2026 — A big thank you to Taylor Monroe, Founder and Managing Attorney of The Monroe Law Firm, PLLC, the second speaker in our Booster STEAM Speaker Series for G9 & G10. He gave students an inside look at the legal profession, from the path to becoming a lawyer to the realities of practising law. About the speaker.

Happy World Teacher Day!

October 5, 2026 — The Booster Teacher Appreciation Team packed 125 shirts, magnets and stickers into goodie bags for our wonderful BASIS Plano staff, and handed them out on World Teacher Day. A big shoutout to Daisy, Deepthi and the entire team behind these amazing goodie bags — we could see the smiles on their faces. Thank you for making our teachers feel so appreciated.

Staff Development Day Breakfast

September 28, 2026 — A bright start to a learning day. Diana Health provided a gourmet breakfast for our teachers and staff, and the Booster brought the coffee and juice. Thank you, Diana Health, and thank you to every staff member for all you do.

STEAM Saturday

September 26, 2026 — We had a fantastic turnout. Families filled the Main Gym for Challenge Island builds — wind cars, a skate park, SlimeTopia and Roller Coaster Ridge — and Singapore Math games, while the upper grades heard about AI and cybersecurity. At the General Meeting the Booster shared its mission, the year so far and the shade fundraiser, and Plano PD answered families’ questions. And Blaze, our school mascot, came out to say hello.

Movie Night: GOAT

September 12, 2026 — Too hot for a movie under the stars, so we brought it indoors. Families packed the Big Gym with blankets, lawn chairs and pizza for an afternoon showing of GOAT — because you’re never too small to dream big. Thank you to every volunteer who scooped popcorn and handed out slices.

Coffee Restocked!

September 4, 2026 — The Booster Teacher Appreciation Team restocked every teacher lounge with coffee supplies, because our amazing teachers deserve a little extra fuel.

Thank You, Bubbl’r!

September 3, 2026 — Our community partner Bubbl’r donated the sparkling water that kept our teachers refreshed through Curriculum Night — every can on that table came from them.

Thank You, Target!

September 3, 2026 — A Target gift card became the teachers’ snack table on Curriculum Nights — pretzels, clementines, fruit snacks and Rice Krispies Treats.

Boosters on Curriculum Nights!

September 3, 2026 — Our Booster volunteers out in force welcoming families to Curriculum Night.

Handel’s Spirit Night

September 1, 2026 — Ice cream for a good cause — families mentioned “BASIS Plano” at the Legacy Drive shop and Handel’s sent a share of the evening’s takings our way.

Happy 1st Week of School!

August 11, 2026 — A huge thank you to our teachers and staff for kicking off the year with so much heart and energy. Our coffee and hot chocolate station was stocked and ready to fuel our superstars.

Chalk the Walk!

August 9, 2026 — What a colourful afternoon. Our kiddos brought the walkways to life with creativity, smiles and lots of chalky fun — thank you to everyone who came out.
